Scientific progress thrives when research communities function as healthy, interconnected ecosystems. In such environments, diversity, resilience, and collaboration are not merely desirable attributes, but essential conditions for discovery. This Global Lecture explores how adopting an ecosystem perspective can strengthen global research efforts by recognising the multistakeholder composition of modern science, ranging from academia and industry to government, philanthropy, and civil society. With Editor-in-Chief of the journal Nature, Magdalena Skipper, and ETH’s Vice President for Research, Annette Oxenius. Registration will open closer to the date.
