This lecture will summarize the international research effort carried out in the 2020s to quantify how much tax billionaires pay. It will provide an accessible presentation of the proposal for an unavoidable minimum tax of 2% of wealth for people with net worth above $100 million, first presented at the G20 in 2024 and voted by the French National Assembly in February 2025.
